Located north of St John’s close to the entrance to the harbour and being so close is very popular with cruise ship passengers. There are a couple of beach bars and on weekends it is a favourite with locals who like to play beach volleyball or cricket.

South west of Hora, Mylopotas beach is the busiest beach of Ios and can get really crowded during summer.

The long sandy beach extends for one kilometre and offers sun beds, umbrellas, beach bars, cafes, restaurants and a great variety of sea sports. Its emerald waters are a real delight as is its pure golden sand.

One of the Island’s most popular and well-known beaches on the other side of Naoussa Bay with a beautiful view towards Naoussa. It is very special due to impressive rock formations that divide the beach into a succession of little sandy coves, which allows you, unless it is high season, to find a private spot of your own. Chrysi Akti is located about 9 km south of Naousa and is the largest beach of Paros. It is a long golden sandy beach extending for 700 metres, famous by windsurfers for its ideal wind conditions.
It is ideal for both families and water sports fans. Here you will find beach bars and three sport clubs that offer wind surfing lessons, water skiing.
